Social addictions.
Nothing gets our inspiration flowing like a good, juicy blog post. Read about what we’ve been working on (our latest launches), what we can’t stop thinking about (design trends, industry happenings and new partnerships) and what we think you should know (expert branding insights and probably some stuff about dogs).
Check back often—we’re quite chatty when we want to be.
Giving Back
Giving back is a great way to show you’re more than talk and it can serve to reinforce your brand’s identity while you serve your community. We aim to talk the talk AND walk the walk. After all, a successful company is only as strong as the communities and people it cares about. Some brands, like TOMS shoes, are building charity right into their business model. A lot of brands are giving back in other ways, whether it’s part of the way they do business or not. Using their powers for good has become a trend that we can definitely get on board with.
Here at Oblique, the Boulder CO design team gives back to our community the best way we know how — through design. Through our Communitee Program we partner with local non-profits we love. We design custom t-shirts for the organization. We sell the shirts on their website. We donate ALL the proceeds to the organization. We’ve been fortunate enough to work with organizations like Block 1750 and Women’s Bean Project, two organizations that are dear to our heart, definitely check them out! You can learn more about our Communitee Program on our website.
We love giving back and we love helping others that give back too! Our client DTJ Design’s Experience Compassion Grant Program focuses on enhancing their community by donating not only money by their time to locally-based organizations. This year they partnered with the Denver Botanic Gardens and the Denver Housing Authority to continue the mission of the Urban Food Initiative to increase access to fresh, healthy foods through community based projects. You can read more about the project on their Give Back page we recently helped them develop.
