What does branding really mean?

Branding_Design_Blog-01

Our team found this great article by Dale Partridge from the Daily Positive about what it means to have successful branding. The article emphasizes the importance of branding. An awesome logo design or product does not define your brand. As Partridge explains, “A brand is the all encompassing global experience someone has with your organization. It’s the personality of the company. It’s how the organization makes you feel.”

We strongly connect with this idea and feel it is important for brands to think beyond the graphic design and think about what they want their logo, website or printed communications to connote to their audiences. This is what defines your brand. It is important to remain consistent in your brand personality.

Another major challenge for companies and organizations is how to differentiate themselves from the rest of the market. We all want to stand out and let our voice be heard. As Partridge suggests, the biggest question may be, how can your organization be an orange circle in a sea of white lines.

“A brand is not what you say it is, it’s what they say it is.”

We find a lot of our inspiration from articles on the Daily Positive. Check out What the Word “Branding” Really Means here: http://dalepartridge.com/word-branding-really-means/
