Women’s Bean Project

Women’s Bean Project, based in Denver, CO, gives women a second chance at a successful future. They employ women who are considered to be “chronically unemployable and impoverished.” These ladies come to Women’s Bean Project through a rigorous interview process. Once hired, they are put to work packaging gourmet soups, baking goods, dip mixes, gift baskets and creating handmade jewelry. Throughout the entire process, each woman is provided job-training skills that she will carry with her into future opportunities once she graduates from Women’s Bean Project.

Oblique is so proud to support the mission of this wonderful social enterprise by designing their annual product catalog for the past three years. We wanted to give the catalog a fresh new look that brought out the human element of Women’s Bean Project – since that’s what they’re all about. We took engaging photos of actual women in the program, on-site at their Denver facility and utilized an organic textured look and feel to help bring the catalog to life.
